So this last Monday morning the people at Independent Fashion Bloggers (or more like Jennine with a short list of volunteers and several sponsors) put together a groovy conference to help us rookie bloggers figure out how to put together a blog that will get us laid. Well, not the exact topics discussed but I think everyone comes away with their own interpretations. The conference hosted a compendium of industry veterans in a series of four panels to discuss, in front of an audience of wide-eyed bloggers, various components of a successful fashion blog. Being as wide-eyed as anyone else attending, my partner-in-pimpin’ and I got suited up like a couple of gentlemen should when entering a room full of women, and made our way to the Helen Mills Theatre in Chelsea (I think).

Above is a picture of four out of the six star-studded panelists of the closing seminar discussing “The Future of Blogging”. The panelists include Filipino sensation Bryanboy, our favorite 13 year old Tavi, awesomely named Susie Bubble, samurai pony-tailed Phil Oh, and unfortunately not pictured Britt Aboutaleb & Lauren Sherman from Fashionista.com. They all, as well as all the panelists throughout the day, had valuable insights, except that dude from G-Star; he was stoner philosophizing all over the place… you aren’t Descartes and we aren’t questioning our blogging existence. However, Tavi, who is our favorite blogger without a doubt, dropped some serious philosophy: “theres always someone also who really loves seinfeld.. as well as dead dolls ..as well as prada” and we loved it.

I know what you are thinking, “why is this post in the ‘Street Sweeper’ section of the website?” Well, that’s an easy question to answer. Seeing as this is our first ‘Street Sweeper’ post, we decided there is no better place to find awesome t-shirt wearing citizens than a fashion blogger get-together. We didn’t really think that through, since most of the girls attending brought their vintage heavy A-games, but we did get two pretty stylish individuals: an unidentified sexy lady, and bryanboy’s boob-flashin’ assitant, and they are both pictured below.

Thanks to Jennine for throwing this shindig, she is like that lovable elementary school teacher that wins the hearts of not only the kids, but their parents as well!
