While I know nothing about cricket I do know a lil bit about style and am really feelin’ this shirt. This vintage photo print of Dr. William Gilbert Grace is done properly, without a boring and strict frame that gives off the appearance of being of a three dollar Atlantic City boardwalk t-shirt. Who is this guy you may ask yourself? After doing some research it seems that in the 1800s Dr. Grace was like the Lebron James of cricket, but with a beard that reminds me of Van Gogh’s “The Mailman”. While there is still some cool and weird facial hair in sports nothing compares to what he’s got goin’ on. In fact, many teams force players to shave like the Yankees’ Johnny Damon who looked like a Geico Caveman in Boston. Also, I have a lot of respect for a full figured athlete: I mean Babe Ruth wasn’t exactly fit, Prince Fielder is following in his footsteps of eating and cracking homeruns, C.C. Sabathia, Charles Barkley, and there are lineman that can run faster than Precious with her bucket of stolen fried chicken. Where was I going with this? Oh yes, vintage photographs make amazing t-shirts if done properly, as we see by Duke & Winston, who uses old British photographs as the inspiration behind his fresh tees.
